Welcome Visit to the Centre by the son of our Benefactor.

The Centre was honoured in November by the visit of the son of Mr Frederick Frazer who granted us this buiding in 1960. Mr Frederick Frazer passed away when he was only 55 years old, leaving his son Douglas to manage all his businesses.

Douglas Frazer was only in his early twenties but had to take on the running of the motor business in Bond End and look after other activities such as the large building in the centre of Knaresborough (later becoming The Frazer Theatre). He had ambitions to become a farmer so was actively seeking to find and purchase a suitable farm and any spare time was given over to being a very active member of Rotary.

Douglas is now a semi-retired farmer having a farm outside York which he and his son maintain.

The photo on the right shows Douglas and Chairman John unveiling the newly framed picture of Frederick Frazer sitting at his desk in the Bond End garage.

The lower picture shows several of our Committee following a presentation of flowers, by Mr Frazer, to some of the hard working volunteer workers in our Centre.
